I just replaced the stock tires on my 2023 Trek Fuel Ex 9.8 with the 29 ers 2.40 soft on the front and the 2.40 grip on the rear. These tires brought the bike to life like no other.
Thank god for good brakes as these roll with ease and fast. They bite when you need them to. Leaning on the edges on tight down hill flow trails they stay in full control. They even made uphill a bit more enjoyable.

Thunder Mountain was the only vendor that still had some Oak Components Grown Bash guards in stock for mountain bikes. After Pink Bike reviewed this item as a top pick it seems the company has dropped off the radar. I moved too slow and had to settle for blue over my preferred black or gray but it does match my suspension dials and the fit and finish far exceeded my expectations. It was so light I wondered if my box was empty. My interaction with Thunder Mountain was perfect and trouble free with the item arriving in several days even with the cheapest shipping option and lots of feedback about each step of the shipping process. Yes I would definitely use Thunder Mountain again. The only quibble was that they offered me a discount after my order was placed on my next order. Many companies offer a discount on the first order if you give them your Email address which I believe was required to complete my transaction. There was a box for a discount code that I had to bypass and shortly after I made the order I got an offer for a discount. Even Specialized gave 15% on the first order if you gave your Email. This was a perfect fit for my Levo 3 and Levo 4. Improved the current gear selection by moving the ratio with the front going from 34T to 36T. Shipping was fast and they arrive within days. No drama!
